Fallon upgrades its Web site for tourism

The Fallon Convention and Tourism Authority said last week it's added social interactivity features to its upgraded Web site, www.FallonTourism.com.

The site now includes videos, RSS feeds, image galleries and a new "Be a Star" commercial competition.

The tourism office also has created a Twitter account to inform residents and tourists of attractions and events and is developing a presence on Flickr and YouTube.

The new site design will allow visitors to watch streaming videos from the Fallon channel, including the "Be a Star" commercial competition in which area residents talk about what they enjoy.

The upgraded site was developed by The GMAA Group LLC of Reno.
