Tim Maland has been named general manager of Tropicana Entertainment LLC's Mont Bleu Resort, Spa and Casino at Stateline.
Maland, who previously worked as director of the Nevada Commission on Tourism, was president of the Reno Hilton from 2001 to 2006. His experience also includes work as general manager of Santa Fe Casino and chief financial officer of Caesar's Palace, both in Las Vegas.
A certified public accountant, Maland earned a bachelor's degree in quantitative systems in 1975 at the Arizona State University School of Business.
