An expanded contract has led West Corporation to seek as many as 100 additional employees to staff its inbound telecommunications call center at 1315 Financial Blvd. in Reno.
Dave Pleiss, vice president of investor and public relations for West Corporation, says the company's client recently included new duties in its contract, leading to the additional employment. West Corporation provides third-party customer service for a wireless phone service provider.
The company, headquartered at Omaha, Neb., employed just over 600 in Reno at the end of September, Pleiss says.
Wages for customer service reps start at $9 an hour and rise to $11 an hour after 90 days, Pleiss says. Job seekers can fill out applications at www.westemployment.com.
