Robert F. Hemphill, chief executive officer of AES Solar Energy Ltd., has resigned from the board of Reno's Altair Nanotechnologies Inc.
Hemphill said he's no longer able to function effectively as a director. His company might purchase batteries from Altair, and the Reno company needed to restrict sales, marketing and operations information from him.
