The Coeur Rochester silver mine near Lovelock received top awards from the Nevada Mining Association and the Mine Safety and Health Administration for safe operations.
Rochester was presented with the First Place 2009 Achievement Award in the open pit small mine category by mining association.
The Mine Safety and Health Administration recognized the mine's management and employees for working more than 4 million work hours from July 1999 to March 31, 2007, without a serious accident.
