Forum set to discuss global supply chains

A forum on global supply chain management is scheduled Nov. 4 at the Atlantis Resort Casino Spa's Grand Ballroom.

Organizers say it's designed to help import/export companies learn new strategies to grow and enhance business and to help supply chain managers learn how to respond to new challenges.

Newcomers can learn how to break the barriers to global commerce to capture new markets.

The event is sponsored by the Reno-Sparks Chamber of Commerce and the Nevada World Trade Council.

Scheduled speakers include:

* Ed Northen, controller of the UPS Pacific region.

* Dr. Dale Rogers of the University of Nevada, Reno.

* Lt. Gov. Brian Krolicki.

* Joel Kolb, vice president and chief operating officer of the UPS Great Basin District.

The forum runs from 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. For reservation information, contact Christina Mont-Kraus, president of Nevada World Trade Council, at 351-3001 or info@newtrac.net.
