Existing home sales in Washoe County totaled 481 during March, an increase of 31 percent from the same month last year and an increase of 43 percent from February.
The median sales price of $176,900 was 2 percent above the February figure, said the Reno-Sparks Association of Realtors. The median price was 12 percent below year- earlier figures.
The association said the statistics are evidence that the residential market continues to firm.
