Guy Simpson has been named as the general manager of the Jerritt Canyon mine operated by Yukon-Nevada Gold Corp. north of Elko.
Simpson has worked 20 years for Resolute Mining Limited, Rapallo Pty Ltd., Harmony Australia and Newcrest Mining Ltd.
He earned a degree in mining engineering from the Western Australian School of Mines (Kalgoorlie).
