John Hasenau has joined the University of Nevada, Reno, as director of laboratory animal medicine. Hasenau is also the attending veterinarian for the Nevada System of Higher Education.
Hasenau has more than 40 years of experience as an inspector with the U.S. Department of Agriculture, a veterinarian and a director of safety and animal rights awareness programs at colleges and in the private sector.
He earned his bachelor's degree in natural sciences and his veterinary degree at Michigan State University.
