Accounting firms to merge

The accounting and business-consulting firm of J. Frank Fisher Ltd. and the accounting firm of John Cunha, CPA, will merge on Jan. 1.

Both are in Reno.

Fisher said the merger will increase the depth of talent in his firm and increase its expertise in California tax law.

Cunha has more than 30 years of experience in tax law and worked for Hewlett-Packard, Honeywell International, Yum Brands, Deutsche Bank, Salomon Brothers and Price Waterhouse before launching his own firm.
