Sallie R. Haws has been named chairman of the board of Haws Corp., a Sparks-based manufacturer of drinking fountains and emergency equipment.
Haws, previously the company's president and great granddaughter of its founder, Luther Haws, previously served nine years as president. She succeeds Michael Traynor as chairman, and Traynor will serve the company as chairman emeritus.
Thomas White, previously executive president of Haws Corp., has been promoted to president. He has worked 15 years in several positions with the company.
