Economic commission moves its Carson City headquarters

Switching office locations will allow the Nevada Commission on Economic Development to save more than $38,000 per year on rent, NCED Executive Director Mike Skaggs says.

The NCED last week moved into 8,600 square feet at 808 W. Nye Lane. Skaggs says when the NCED's lease came due building officials tested the market and found much more favorable lease terms at $1.05 a square foot versus the $1.69 a square foot the department had been paying at its Proctor Street location.

The new phone number for the NCED is 687-9900.
