Karen Rae Abbott, M.D., of Athena Gynecology Medical Group in Reno is one of six practices in the United States selected to participate in clinical tests of a device developed by Halt Medical Inc.
The device was developed to help women avoid a hysterectomy for uterine fibroids. It uses a radio frequency device that is inserted into the fibroid.
