SNC wins Air Force work

Sierra Nevada Corp. of Sparks last week won a contract worth $8.86 million to provide services to the U.S. Air Force Rome Research Site in Rome, N.Y.

Bonnie Goetz, contracting officer with the Air Force, says the scope of the contract is to design, develop, test and evaluate automated, machine-to-machine motion imagery processing and analysis improvements basically, automated intelligence surveillance and reconnaissance work prior to field operations.

SNC last week also won a $259,704 contract with the Air Force's Air Armament Center at Elgin Air Force Base in Niceville, Fla.
