Ram Power Corp. of Reno said it received a conditional use permit from Imperial County, California, to begin exploration of a possible 49.9-megawatt geothermal project in the Imperial Valley.
The company expects to begin exploration drilling on the 3,500-acre prospect during the first quarter.
