The Economic Development Authority of Western Nevada has named 23 people to its new Economic Development Council, which will meet bi-monthly to advise the EDAWN board of trustees.
Names to the new council were Reno Mayor Bob Cashell; Sparks Mayor Geno Martini; Washoe County Commission Chair David Humke; Fernley Mayor Leroy Goodman; Krys Bart of the Reno-Tahoe Airport Authority; Jim Breslin of Model Dairy; Tony Ciorciari of International Game Technology; Pat Flynn of the Peppermill Resort/Spa/Casino; Kathy Gamboa of the University of Phoenix; Don Kowitz of Saint Mary's; Hal Lennox of AT&T Nevada; Deb Loizides of Intuit, Inc.; Manny Martinez of Charter Communications; Jim Miller of Renown Health; Brian Moore of Microsoft Licensing GP; Paul Olivas of Q&D Construction; Chad Osorno of Wells Fargo Bank; Hank Sennott of ENEL North America; Mary Simmons of NV Energy; Mike Skaggs of the Nevada Commission on Economic Development; Ken Alber of The Penta Building Group Inc., Stan Thomas of Wade Development Company Inc., and Denny Williams of Mutual of Omaha Bank.
