Electronics recycler to partner with nonprofits

A Reno company that recycles used business electronics looks to establish partnerships with nonprofits across the nation to build the flow of equipment headed its way.

eCycleBest launched the initiative through a partnership with the High Sierra Squadron of the Commemorative Air Force, a group that's restoring and preserving two World War II and Korean War aircraft at Reno-Stead Airport.

Renegade Concepts Inc. of Reno has been contracted to manage the donation program for eCycleBest.

Dave Costa, chief executive officer of Renegade Concepts, said businesses can get details on the donation program by emailing eCycleBest@gmail.com.

The recycling company disassembles used laptops and cellphones, selling components or recycling them for their scrap value.

If the partnership with the aircraft preservation group proves successful, Costa said eCycleBest hopes to extend the program to other nonprofits across the nation.
