Marc De La Torre has joined the Reno Sparks Chamber of Commerce as director of events and leadership.
De La Torre formerly served in a citizens' services role for the City of Sparks.
He also worked nearly four years for Sen. John Ensign and worked two years with the Better Business Bureau.
He earned a degree in political science from the University of Nevada, Reno.
