Frank Lepori Construction Inc. of Sparks has started installation of solar photovoltaic panels on the Washoe County Administration Complex at 9th and Wells in Reno.
The county's project, which includes photovoltaic systems installed at Northwest Library and Washoe County Senior Center in Reno, is projected to save $25,000 a year in electricity.
The county financed the project with a Department of Energy grant and $600,000 in NV Energy SolarGenerations rebates.
