Startup & Growth Strategies, a Reno company that grew out of a series of workshops on entrepreneurship for out-of-work executives, says six revenue-producing companies have developed from its workshops in the past four months.
The company was launched by Reno entrepreneurs Rod Hosilyk and Matt Westfield last spring after they delivered a volunteer workshop for members of ProNet in Reno.
Since then, Hosilyk says participants in the seminars have created more than 30 companies and a half dozen of them are producing revenue.
Startup & Growth Strategies is working with the University of Nevada, Reno, and Nevada's Center for Entrepreneurship and Technology to sponsor workshops at UNR on Sept. 11-12, with follow-up sessions on Sept. 14-15.
