Baynes K. Simpson, 78, died March 31, 2011, in Carson City. He was born Aug. 25, 1932, in San Antonio, Texas, to Baines and Jessie Simpson. He is a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He is survived by his wife, Kaye of Carson City; sons David A. Simpson (Anke) of Carson City, and Paul C. Simpson of Juneau, Alaska; and five grandchildren. There will be a memorial service at 2 p.m. Friday at Walton's Chapel in Carson City.
