Man guilty in sex assaults of girls

William Billy Jack Caron, 36, was found guilty Monday of 10 felony counts of sexual assault against a child under the age of 14 and four felony counts of lewdness with a child under the age of 14.

The victims in this case were five girls between the ages of 9 13 at the time of the offense.

Assistant District Attorney Mark Krueger and Senior Deputy District Attorney Joseph Reynolds prosecuted this case.

"This conviction brings these victims and their families' justice and serves to keep the citizens of Lyon County safe from persons who would commit crimes against children," said Krueger.

Caron faces 35 years to life on each sexual assault count and 10 years to life on each lewdness count when sentenced June 13.
