A Plain Duty: During the past week the State has been greatly agitated over the disclosures made regarding the Orphan's Home. These reports may be falsehoods, women with the object of displacing current management. If the statements of witnesses are true, then it is the plain duty of the Board to order an investigation.

The testing of the gambling law is to be given a thorough test in Winnemucca while at Fallon indictments are against two citizens for carrying on a game. This morning the case of Frank P. Morrison and W. C. Wilson of Lovelock was called.

Assemblyman C. D. Baker, captain in the United States army engineer reserves from Las Vegas has been called to active duty and will be sent to Honolulu, Hawaii.

Myrtle Hogan turns 104 years young.
