Campagni is donating car for Carson Tahoe fundraiser

Dick Campagni, owner of Carson City Toyota and Scion and Capital Ford, is donating a car to help raise money for patient care at the Carson Tahoe Cancer Center.

The car will be raffled off on Sept. 9 during the cancer center's five year anniversary celebration.

Raffle tickets are $20 each or six for $100.

The winner will be able to choose between a 2011 Ford Focus and 2011 Toyota Corolla.

Kitty McKay, the development officer for the Carson Tahoe Regional Healthcare Foundation, said every last bit of the funds raised from the raffle will go to patient care.

"It's really off the charts," McKay said. "It's amazing what it allows us to do."

She said the hospital is hoping to raise $50,000 this year.

Tickets are available at the Toyota and Ford dealerships in the capital, the CTRH gift shop, Home Treasures in the Carson Mall, the Firkin & Fox and High Sierra Brewing in downtown Carson City.

The September event will include food, drink and live music and is open to the public.

This is the fourth time Campagni has donated a car to raise funds for the hospital, said Tim Milligan, the general manager of Capital Ford.
