Mabel Benton, 91, died April 14, 2011, at her home in Zephyr Cove. She was born Nov., 19, 1919, in Boise, Idaho, to William and Ivy Murphy. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carlton Benton Sr.; and sisters Mary Smith and Clara Laging. She is survived by her sons, Andrew (Diana), Carlton Jr. (Wanda) and Clinton (Linda); four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and other extended family member and friends. A family memorial will be held at a later date.
