Pleasant Valley, Galena schools in lockdown as police search for armed man

Reno news stations are reporting Pleasant Valley Elementary School and Galena High School are on lockdown following an alleged shooting between brothers on Callahan Ranch Trail in South Reno.

KTVN is reporting authorities received a call about 7 a.m. in the 16000 block of Callahan Ranch Trail after neighbors reported hearing four or five shots.

KOLO8 is reporting one brother was injured, but not shot, and was taken to the hospital.

The other brother, Wade Richard Kelly, 53, is believed to have fled the home and be armed.

Kelly is described as 5 feet 10 inchese tall and wearing a black and gray sweatshirt, blue jeans and boots.

According to KTVN, Washoe County School District officials say until Kelly is in custody, the schools will remain in lock down for the safety of the students.

Reno SWAT is stationed at the home and a helicopter is patrolling the area in the search for Kelly, according to KRNV.
