Carson City

The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All suspects are innocent until proved guilty in court:

• Elizabeth Ann Dillie, 49, unemployed from Oakland, Calif., surrendered at 11:40 a.m. Monday on a felony embezzlement warrant. Bail was set at $25,000.

• A 27-year-old clerk from Carson City was arrested at 4:42 a.m. Tuesday at Edmonds Road and Snyder Avenue on suspicion of second offense drunken driving and failure to maintain lane. Bail was set at $2,597.

• A 30-year-old housekeeper from Carson City was arrested at 2:30 a.m. at Musser and Valley streets on suspicion of failure to appear.

Storey County

The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded Monday:

• A report at 11:57 a.m. on H Street of a garbage truck hitting a power line.

• A business on C Street reported at 5:08 p.m. that a woman claimed she'd paid for an item with a $100 bill and the business took her word for it and gave her change for $100. But when they counted, she hadn't paid with $100. She was described as a white female adult, 5 feet 5 inches tall and wearing a black-and-white striped sweater.
