The Moonlight Party. This evening a moonlight party will be given at Treadway's park for the benefit of the Ladies Circulating Library. Admission for gentlemen is $1 and ladies 50 cents. Pains will be taken to make the affair well worth attending.

100 YEARS AGO

Yesterday the Supreme Court decided that Patrick Casey should hang for the Goldfield murder of Mrs. Hislop. Casey's attorneys argued his pitiful state while drunk on whiskey.

70 YEARS AGO

Senator P.A. McCarran wired the Appeal last night that Nevada's cattle theft bill, 1261, makes it a federal offense to transport stolen cattle has gone to President Roosevelt for signature.

50 YEARS AGO

Business activity reached a record level in Nevada during May. The Bureau of Business and Economic Research at the University of Nevada said its business activity index rose 144 percent.

20 YEARS AGO

The U.S. Senate Environmental committee approved a bill authored by Sen. Harry Reid, D-Nev., that would prohibit or restrict the use of lead.

10 YEARS AGO

Another Douglas casino is planned for a 100-room hotel casino and 300-space RV park on the east side of Highway 395 at Pine Nut Road.
