Sheriffs' log for Aug. 20

Carson City

The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All suspects are innocent until proved guilty in court:

• Christopher Moceri, 21, of Carson City, was arrested at 2:35 p.m. Thursday in the 800 block of East Musser Street on suspicion of felony obtaining money under false pretenses. Bail was set at $5,000.

• A 23-year-old unemployed transient was arrested at 4:15 p.m. Thursday in the 2000 block of North Carson Street on suspicion of misdemeanor petty larceny. Bail was set at $347. A 30-year-old unemployed Carson City woman was also arrested on the same charge.

The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded Thursday:

• A North Carson Street convenience store clerk reported at 1:19 a.m. that an intoxicated man came in, brought chocolate milk and gum to the counter, and then pulled a handgun out his waistband and laid it down. The man didn't threaten the clerk with the weapon, but said when he drinks he gets angry. He then paid for the items, stuffed the gun back in his pants and left the store. Police were unable to locate the man.

• A bicycle was reported stolen at 11:37 a.m. on Shriver Drive.

• Residential burglary report at 11:44 a.m. in the 1000 block of Glacier Drive.

• Accident at 12:53 p.m. at Frontage Road and Clear Creek Avenue.

• A man reported at 8:02 p.m. that his car had been egged for a second time on South Division Street.

• An office manager reported at 9:11 p.m. that he'd found a bag of drugs and a pipe in the 500 block of South Roop Street.

Lyon County

The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded Thursday:

• Report at 10:56 a.m. of an ATV accident, with the man lying unconscious next to the vehicle on Highway 95 Alternate in Silver Springs.

• Report of a fight at 4:35 p.m. on Jennys Lane in Fernley between two men, when one of the men hit his mother. While on the phone with police, the hitter fled on a skateboard.

• A woman reported at 4:40 p.m. that someone stole a bike and left behind another one from her Monico Drive home in Mark Twain.

Storey County

The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded Thursday:

• Caller reported at 10:46 a.m. that there was a large bear on their Cartwright Road property the previous evening.
