Carson hospital gets ratings upgrade

Standard & Poor's said last week it raised its rating of the debt of Carson Tahoe Regional Healthcare has earned a financial rating increase from "BBB positive" to "BBB+ stable."

The rating agency said it based the upgrade on the solid business position, track record of operating results, sound balance sheet, and relatively new facilities of the healthcare organization based in Carson City.

Standard & Poor's said the Carson Tahoe Regional Healthcare posted good financial results in 2009 and 2010, and performance has remained strong this year as its management has focused on revenue growth.
