General Metals Corp. of Reno said last week it hired Thom Seal, a professor in the Mackay School of Earth Sciences and Engineering at the University of Nevada, Reno, to conduct metallurgical studies on its Independence Gold project.
The company said Seal's report will be part of its economic analysis of the project in Lander County, 14 miles southwest of Battle Mountain.
