Obituary: Julie Marie Peters

Julie Marie Peters (Caufield) passed away at Renown Medical Center in Reno, Nevada on Saturday, December 10, 2011. She was born in Minneapolis, MN in 1960 and moved with her family to Montana at an early age. She attended school in Helena, MT and Missoula, MT where she graduated from Sentinel High School. She attended Montana State University Billings and The University of Montana until she and her husband Patrick moved to Carson City in 1994 where Pat began teaching at Carson City High. Shortly after moving to Carson City, Julie began work at Garibaldi's Italian restaurant where she has worked for the past 14 years. Their lovely daughter Emma was born in Carson City and was immediately the love of their lives.

She is survived by her husband, Patrick Caufield and their daughter Emma; parents Jack and Sharen Peters of Missoula, MT; sister Patricia Twohig and husband, Steve Niday of Missoula, MT; Brother James Peters, and his family, of Sandpoint, ID; sister Cynthia Peters of Charleston, SC; sister Shauna Peters of Fairbanks, AK; her very special niece Lily Niday of Seattle, WA; Sisters-in-law Cathy Craig and Kim Stohlman and their families; brothers-in-law Michael Caufield and Tim Bullard and their families.

Julie loved Montana where she spent her childhood years growing up. She had countless friends in both Montana and Nevada and was loved by everyone she met. She was especially close to her family members and her three sisters were some of her closest friends.

A celebration of Julie's life will be held in Carson City on December 14, 2011 from 2:45 to 4:00p.m. at the Brewery Arts Center at the corner of King and Division. Julie's wishes were to be cremated and her ashes will be returned to Montana and strewn in the mountains that she and her husband Pat so loved. A celebration of her life will be held next summer for family and friends in Montana.
