Carson City

The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All persons are innocent until proved guilty in court.

• A Douglas County woman was arrested at 2 p.m. Monday after cursing and threatening a deputy, then throwing rocks at his patrol car. The 19-year-old was ordered to a Carson group home as an alternative sentence by a Douglas County judge but was attempting to leave the home when the deputy was called. She was charged with attempting to damage a police vehicle and obstructing a peace officer. Total bail was set at $800.

• Allen Reed, 50, was charged with possession of child pornography. He was jailed and ordered held in lieu of $20,000 bail after his arrest Monday at 8:40 p.m.

• A 40-year-old Carson City man was arrested at 11:39 p.m. Monday on a warrant charging him with domestic battery, second offense. Bail was set at $5,000.

• A 33-year-old Reno man was jailed after a 1:10 a.m. traffic stop in the 3800 block of Highway 50 East. He was charged with failure to signal a turn, no driver's license, obstructing an officer, driving under the influence and contempt of court. When jailers asked if a background check would reveal any warrants, he said, "I'm wanted for a lot of things." The check revealed a Washoe county warrant accusing him of un-lawfully taking an automobile.
