Regina (Jeannie) Mahaffey went to be with our Lord Jesus on Monday December 12, 2011. She was born Regina Mae Edens on July 9, 1949 in Great Falls, Mont, to Reginald & Georgia Edens. She was married to David Mahaffey on March 4, 1968, in Great Falls, Mont; they spent 43+ years together and were truly in love the entire time and spent every non-working moment together. She loved camping, dancing and gardening. She was a 20+ year employee of Scolaris Food & Drug on Highway 50 East in Carson City, Nev. David & Regina moved from Montana in 1988 to Carson City, and this has remained their home ever since. David and Regina worked in the dairy industry for 43 years.
She was preceded in death by her son, Reggie; sister, Eva; mother, Georgia, and father, Reginald.
She was survived by her husband, David; sister, Connie of Carson City, Nev.; daughter, Georgina & son-in-law Richard of Yerington, Nev.; granddaughter, Candace of Yerington, Nev.; and granddaughter, Kristine of Cameron Park, Calif.
Regina spent her last days in Carson Tahoe Hospital where she succumbed to cancer, which had plagued her little body since she was 24 years of age.
Friends and family were by her side at the beginning of her new journey with the Lord.
Regina was a high spirited, little hot head and would fight anyone or anything that would mistreat any of her friends or family. She will truly be missed by all who loved her or shared any part of her life.
A celebration of her life will be held in the spring of 2012 because this was the time of year Regina enjoyed the most. The time and place to be announced later.
May God be with her forever.
