Carson City
The following people were booked into the Carson City jail. All suspects are innocent unless proved guilty in court:
• Two brothers were arrested after a report of attempted shoplifting at Walmart early Friday. The two, ages 18 and 25, were spotted drinking beer outside the market and attempting to leave the store with doughnuts and taquitos they hadn't paid for. The younger of the two attempted to run from deputies and, despite orders, reached into his pants. When the man refused to comply, one of the deputies tasered him. Both were charged with petty larceny. The younger brother was charged with obstructing an officer and underage consumption alcohol. He was jailed in lieu of $700 total bail. The 25-year-old was charged with disorderly conduct and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. He was jailed in lieu of $962 total bail.
