Gas prices in the Reno area average $3.45 a gallon, down 21 cents in the past month. AAA reported last week that prices average $3.36 in Carson City and $3.43 in Elko.
South Lake Tahoe continues to have the highest average price of any location in the lower 48 states $3.88 a gallon.
