Motel 6 acquired

The 82-room Motel 6 at 2749 S. Carson St. has been acquired by a Southern California real estate company.

The franchise for the Carson City motel was acquired by Carson City Hotel Group LLC, which is headed by Arcadia, Calif., investor Kumar Koneru.

The property previously was corporate owned by Motel 6. Clay Helm has been named general manager.
