Obituary: Catherine (Kay) Hoover

Catherine Kay Hoover was born 1923 in Owen Sound, Ontario, Canada. Kay graduated from Grosse Pointe High School in Michigan. Kay served as an Airwoman in the Royal Canadian Air Force in Canada and Washington, D.C. She was very active in the Episcopal Church in the San Francisco Bay Area and here in Carson City, serving as Lay Minister, Chalice Bearer, and Lay Reader. She also served on Diocesan Council in San Francisco. Kay served as a volunteer at Seton Medical Center in Daly City, CA. and Carson Tahoe Hospital in Carson City for many years. She loved all sports and played on Semi-pro baseball teams in Michigan and in the Bay Area--and loved all animals and donated greatly to their welfare.
