Dean T. "Ted" Wilton has been named vice president for exploration by Klondex Mines Ltd., which is developing the Fire Creek deposit in Lander County.
Wilton most recently worked in exploration for Victoria Gold. He also has worked for Freeport McMoRan, Minorco USA/Independence Mining, Kinross Gold, Queenstake Resources USA and Granges US (now Vista Gold).
He earned a bachelor's degree in geology from the New Mexico Institute of Mining & Technology.
