Rev. A. Dwight Burchert, pastor of Capitol Assembly church was elected last night to be director of youth services for the Sierra-Nevada sectional division for the Assemblies of God.

20 YEARS AGO

A power surge accompanied a power outage that damaged appliances in numerous homes. Some 4,300 homes were affected by the outage in Carson and 2,500 in Douglas County. The outage was caused by a pole fire.
