Maria E. Turowski, 78, of Carson City died Feb. 8, 2011. She was born Aug. 1, 1932, in Buffalo, N.Y., to Bruno and Helen Wierzbowski. She is survived by daughters Cathy Keeney of Nevada, Teresa McClain of California; sister Sophie Wierz of New York; and six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. A service will 8 a.m. Saturday at Fitzhenry's Chapel of Faith in Carson City. Fitzhenry's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
