Reward offered in Walmart burglary

The Douglas County Sheriff's Office is looking for two men in connection with the theft of a cash drawer from Walmart at Topsy Lane last month.

The commercial burglary occurred Jan. 26 just before 8 p.m.

Secret Witness is offering a $500 reward for information. The Douglas County Sheriff's Office did not disclose the amount of the loss.

One suspect is described as a white male, medium height and large build, with a shaved or bald head. He appeared to have a light mustache. He wore blue jeans, white tennis shoes, and a dark winter coat with a gray-lined hood.

The second suspect also appears to be a white male, medium height and build, with short dark hair.

He is wearing a dark gray coat, possibly a Carhart or Dickie brand, dark blue pants, also possibly Dickie, and a black baseball cap with white letters.

Investigators said the second male seemed to be aware of surveillance cameras throughout the store as he never displayed his face clearly while in the area of the cameras.

The second suspect is seen stealing a cash drawer from a closed checkout counter near the automotive area of the store, while the first man acted as a lookout. The suspects fled the store.

The suspects may have been driving a smaller, single cab, white-colored pickup truck, possibly a Nissan, Toyota or Ford Ranger.

Anyone with information is asked to call Secret Witness at 775-782-7463; or Douglas County Sheriff's Investigator Brian Hubkey at 775-782-9926.
