Annual game night planned at Silver Stage High School

Silver Stage High School's S Club is hosting its second annual Family Game Night 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the high school.

"Everyone is welcome to come," said Kassie Mohler, president of the service club. "All prices are reasonable, so families can have fun at a low cost."

Admission is $3 per person or $5 for two or $10 for five people.

Hot dogs will be sold for 75 cents or nachos for $1.25. Soda and chips also will be available. There also will be free root beer floats.

"We will be playing board games in a fun way that we have set up and raffling prizes, too," Mohler said. "For the younger ones that wouldn't be really interested in board games, we have activities set up for them to do to be entertained."

The proceeds from the evening will benefit a scholarship in memory of former substitute teacher Denise Pugh, who died a year ago from cancer, as well as a memorial for 2010 graduate Stuart "Tyler" Gardner, who was killed during a burglary at his home last month.

Tickets can be purchased from any Silver Stage High School S Club member or call 775-577-5071 to RSVP.

"We have many fun plans for this night and would enjoy it if you and your family would come join the fun, which includes prizes, food, getting out of the house and family fun," Mohler said.
