Michael Moran has been named vice president for project development by Allied Nevada Gold Corp. of Reno.
He most recently worked for Starfield Resources.
Moran, a licensed professional engineer in California, has worked 25 years for engineering consulting firms and international mining companies including Newmont Mining, Toledo Mining, BHP International and Rio Algom.
