Health Inspections

The following health inspections are for the period of Feb. 8-10.

• The Sub Factory Restaurant, 2589 N. Carson St. #B, scored 94 points. The basins of the 3-C sink are not properly set up during operational hours. Soiled, unsanitized wiping cloths are lying about in the kitchen. There is no sanitizer bucket to store them in. The ice machine is dirty inside. The ice scoop storage bucket is not clean inside. The basins of the 3-C sink and the kitchen hand sink are damaged and not cleanable. Some pressed-board cabinet shelves used for storing food and food-related items in the kitchen and dining area are not painted or otherwise sealed to provide a waterproof, cleanable surface.

• Seven Eleven # 22629, 3701 N. Carson St., scored 100 points.

• Brugo's Pizza Co. Restaurant, 3228 N. Carson St., scored 100 points.

• J & L Catering and Cakes Caterer, 3850 Arrowhead Dr., scored 100 points.

• Smith's Food & Drug Meat Department, 599 E. William St., scored 100 points.

• BPO Elks Lodge #2177 Bar, 515 N. Nevada St., scored 98 points. The bottom edge of the metal ice chute inside the ice machine was not clean. The fan guard inside the refrigerator under the counter contained a buildup of dust and was not clean.

• BPO Elks Lodge #2177 Food Facility, 515 N. Nevada St., scored 96 points. The chlorine residual from the final rinse in the mechanical dish washer was less than the required 50 ppm.

• Ormsby Club Bar/Lounge, 600 S. Curry St., scored 97 points. The speed gun holster was not clean and contained debris. It was cleaned on the spot. NRS requires establishments which sell alcoholic beverages for consumption on premises are required to post signs concerning birth defects. There was no sign posted.

• Subway #11114 Restaurant, 3959 S. Carson St., scored 100 points.

• Subway #10368 Restaurant, 100 Winnie Lane, scored 97 points.

• Los Garcia's Mexican Restaurant, 2000 N. Carson St., scored 100 points.

• K9 Dog House Restaurant, 3250 Retail Dr. #100, scored 98 points. Some meat products were found in the pre-table refrigerator held cold between 41-45 F and not at 40 F or less as required.

• Holiday Inn Express Continental Breakfast, 4055 N. Carson St., scored 95 points. Dairy products were found in the upright refrigerator held cold between 41-45 F and not at 40 F or less. There was no certified food handler present at the time of this inspection.

• Hampton Inn & Suites Continental Breakfast, 10 Hospitality Way, scored 98 points. Dairy products were found in the upright refrigerator held cold between 41-15 F and not at 40 F or less.
