Donna Lou McNeely, a resident of Carson City for 33 years, went home to be with her LORD on Friday, Feb. 18, 2011, after enduring cancer with courage and grace for 4 -1/2 years. Donna was born in Sacramento, Calif., to John Harry and Thelma Wegele. She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Richard; sons Robert and Daniel; daughter-in-law Julie; and two grandchildren, whom she loved so much.
Donna graduated with an AGS from Western Nevada Community College in 1993 at the age of 51. Through the years she has been active in her church, discipling and mentoring women, teaching stewardship and recently as a lead mentor mom for "M.O.P.S." A celebration of life for Donna will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 26, 2011, at Hilltop Community Church
