Workshop on early season gardening

Hungery Mother Organics will host a Spring Gardener Workshop, 10-11:30 a.m. at the garden center at 3190 Highway 395, in north Douglas County, across from Silver City RV and next to Full Circle Compost.

It's a bit too early to start growing plants but hard to stay out of the garden. This workshop will help bridge the season, by covering seed starting, frost protection, soil prep, raised-bed building, and more to make an early-bird garden as productive as possible.

Just bring yourself, a water bottle, snack, and dress appropriately for outdoor activity.

For more information, call 775-267-3084 or go to http://hungrymother.cc.

Pruning clinic rescheduled

Du to weather conditions, the annual pruning workshop with Dick Post and Tom Henderson at Greenhouse Garden Center originally scheduled for March 5 will be postponed to March 12.

The "Let's Get a Jump on Spring" seminar previously scheduled for March 12, will be moved to March 13.

For further details, contact Greenhouse Garden Center at 882-8600.
