Another snowstorm heading our way

A winter storm system is expected to make its way into the region today, dumping up to two inches of snow in the valley, according to the National Weather Service.

"Looks like it's not going to be too significant of a system like it was a few days ago," said NWS meteorologist Brian O'Hara. "We're looking for an inch or two down in the valleys, two or three in the foothills around Carson."

The storm is expected to start late morning or early afternoon and will taper off after midnight.

O'Hara said a rain storm is expected in the region starting Wednesday afternoon and could last through Thursday night with another system possibly moving into the region this weekend.

The high today is expected to be 34 and the low 22. By Friday the high is expected to be near 50.
