FALLON - A 73-year-old Fallon woman with dementia who was last seen Thursday leaving the Bonanza Inn was found today.
Capt. Vern Ulrich said Darlene Byrd was discovered in a Fallon motel room.
"She is medically stable but confused and unable to provide any details regarding her whereabouts," said Ulrich. "An investigation is underway but examination of the room indicates that she may been living off the leftovers she took from the restaurant and the beverages supplied within the room."
Ulrich said Byrd was transported to Banner Churchill Community Hospital where she was eventually reunited with her family.
During the time Byrd was missing, Ulrich said the Department of Emergency Management arranged for two search dogs and handlers to assist in the search. The search dogs and personnel were used Friday night through Saturday.
Churchill County Search and Rescue had a pilot fly a low level flight Sunday searching for Byrd.
