Construction will soon be under way on a section of the North Douglas County/Carson City Waterline Intertie Project. Douglas County Commissioners awarded a contract to Q&D Construction to construct approximately 16,000 linear feet of a 30-inch water line along Heybourne Road beginning just north of Johnson Lane and continuing north for 16,000 feet.
The contractor is scheduled to trench across Stephanie Way this week at the intersection of Heybourne Road. Motorists can expect traffic control, a reduction to one travel lane and minor delays while this work is in progress.
